I’m an amateur artist. I do a bit of everything but sculpt. I quit for a number of years after the people who should’ve encouraged me didn’t. Still getting back into the swing of things with my paper art after years of either doing nothing or making furniture for my home.

I'm still here somehow.  Personal injuries, familial sickness, deaths, day job issues, and etc. are always great for excuses not do create.  But I have been creating, just functional art rather than pretty or expressive.  My problem is that I never take pictures of my work before I send it out.  I'm gonna have to rectify that and post some to my gallery.   To be honest, I'd forgotten about my account here until one of my daughters found it while surfing the site.  So, I'll finish my maker space and get back into my drawing and painting, in addition to my building. Looking forward to it.

May as well start putting artwork up online. I've worked on drawing or weaving or crafting for years.  When I was a kid, I'd draw and my parents would say, "Thats very nice. What is it?"  More than just a little crushing to a teenager.  Growing up, I'd done needlepoint, woodburning, a little sewing, and buttloads of latchhook stuff.  My grandparents and mom were members of the local Crafting Guild.  While not sculptures, everything they did was primarily 3D art and I was more interested in what I could put on paper or canvas.  Grandpa could make wire sculpture interpretations of almost anything he saw, be it a picture or a tree outside the w
